✿ Meet The Artist ✿
Hi, I'm Kal! An artist based in the DMV and creator behind SaaguCo!
SaaguCo's orgins are a little odd and originated out of a silly obession with salmon I had ( and still do, it's so delicious!)
But other than its silly origins, I felt even more inspired by the hustling spirit of my sweet and crafty grandma, Anita St. John. It's been rumored that's where I got my creativity from! On top of that, I really wanted to bring to life a playful kawaii-inspired character that looked like me and that could resonate with others. The face of my brand, Saagu (pronounced Saah-goo) is a curious and playful little lady who does her best to make the most out of this short life! She serves as a reminder for me to try and have fun and not take life too seriously. (which I'm very guilty of)
Saagu is inspired by a handful of experiences in my life along with the people who have shaped me. I have big dreams for my little characters, but I know those dreams will take time to build. I hope you'll come along for the ride and invite Saagu and her friends into your homes. :)
